Horizon Recovery was founded in 2022 by Brian Carlisle. Brian’s entire career has revolved around rescuing people in desperate need: He’s been a medic with PHX Fire for 15 years now.  RN for 11 years, 5 as an ER RN, and now an FNP-C for 5 years. He now leads Horizon Recovery, Phoenix’s leading teen treatment center.

Brian has been present to help at hundreds of literal fires, when people’s homes and livelihoods were burning down around them. He started Horizon Recovery to aid families going through the fires of teen addiction, trauma, and mental health struggles.

Horizon Recovery has 120 wonderful staff members across 6 locations. With over 100 years of combined experience, our team stands ready to support your family in this difficult time by encouraging and speaking truth to your teen.

At this stage of the continuum, teens live on-site and receive round-the-clock support for both addiction and mental health challenges. The care team provides intensive, individualized treatment in a nurturing setting.

Teens spend the day receiving focused care, returning home in the evening to apply their skills in real-world settings. For teens who need added structure, our partnership with Teen Pathways Alliance offers supportive housing during treatment.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Flexible, step-down care that fits into everyday life.

As teens continue progressing, IOP provides group and individual therapy several times a week - either in person or via telehealth - while they live at home and stay connected to school, friends, and family.
