Our Treatment Centers Have More Staff, More Services, More Family Involvement, and More Character

Environment matters. Your child will find it easier to recover in a supportive and nurturing space that’s free of distractions. Our residential program provides nonstop support for your child, fostering their sense of safety and belonging.

We are licensed to provide care through age 17 at our inpatient facilities. Once adolescents turn 18, we provide care through our outpatient treatment centers (PHP, IOP, and standard outpatient services).

More Family Involvement for Better Unity

You will not be excluded. We believe that family involvement is crucial to a successful treatment outcome. That’s why we include family therapy sessions in our treatment plans. As soon as treatment begins, you’ll meet our Family Liaison, a single point of contact for all your needs and questions. The Family Liaison’s job is to proactively update you on your child’s progress, every day.

No single therapy is a magic pill. Your child is unique, so the most effective therapy is customized, not one-size-fits-all. We practice many evidence-based therapies so that our skilled clinicians can tailor an individualized treatment program for your child.

More Staff for Better Care

The Arizona Department of Health only requires 1 staff member on-site to oversee 10 adolescents. We consider this inadequate. A single staff member cannot effectively serve 10 teens; it’s also a safety concern. We’ve chosen to staff our centers more robustly for a higher standard of care. During the day, 5–6 staff members work in each center. Overnight, there are never fewer than 2 staff members on site.

Better Staff for Better Service

Other treatment centers cut corners by underpaying their staff. That may save money, but we don’t believe it’s the way to provide world-class care. Because we are committed to recruit and retain the highest-caliber individuals, our staff receive pay and benefits that are at or above fair market rates. This ensures we can consistently deliver excellent service. We will never compromise by downgrading the dedicated staff who care for your child.

More Life Skills for Better Recovery

Teens cannot thrive unless they feel competent and confident to handle whatever life throws at them. Life skills training contributes to mental health by equipping adolescents to navigate challenges, make wise decisions, and build healthy relationships. This in turn promotes overall well-being and resilience. Horizon Recovery teaches a variety of life skills, including time management, decision-making, laundry, cleaning, résumé building, budgeting, problem-solving, communication, and stress management.

We never hire staff based solely on their résumé accomplishments. Their personal character and values matter too. Because our staff members care for your child every day, we seek out people who embody our company values of compassion, patience, and genuine care. We can teach a person of high moral character how to provide top-tier therapy. But we refuse to hire any therapy provider who lacks integrity.
