What to Bring
Here’s a helpful guide about what your teen or adolescent should bring when they become residents of one of our recovery facilities.
What can I bring with me?
Recovery centers are strict about what is and isn’t allowed to be brought into the facility.
Here’s a list of items you’re allowed to bring:
- ID (such as your driver’s license)
- Insurance card
- Any relevant medical records and/or prescription medications in original containers
- Personal hygiene products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, brush, feminine products, etc.)
- Clothing (PJs, shoes, socks, undergarments, pants, shirts, etc.)
Make sure to ask one of our staff members about other items your teen may be interested in bringing that weren’t mentioned in the list above.
What should I not bring?
Items you’re NOT allowed to bring into our facilities include:
- Illicit drugs
- Alcohol
- Tobacco products or e-cigarettes/vapes
- Weapons or sharp objects
- Toiletries that contain alcohol
- Aerosols
- Nail polish and remover
- Video games
- Candles or incense
- Inappropriate clothing (drug or alcohol references, profanity, etc.)
If you’re unsure whether an item is allowed in our facilities, please ask one of our staff members before your teen begins treatment.
