The difference between PHP and IOP comes down to the intensity of time commitment to therapeutic treatment, partial hospitalization requiring more dedicated time throughout the week than an intensive outpatient plan. 

As your child transitions out of a residential treatment program, PHP ensures that they get the level of care they need to maintain sobriety and positive mental health while living at home.
